| Local bus enthusiasts held a farewell tour which was the first to send off an outgoing model from SMRT Buses - the Nissan Diesel U31RCN, affectionately known as the 'UD'.
The timely tour, held on Saturday 6th December 2008, was just days after yet another batch of such buses were deregistered and disappeared from route 852, to which a bulk of these buses were deployed to. This farewell tour was the first to have two buses on charter running through roads formerly plied by the UDs such as City Hall and Sing Ming, as well as Serangoon Gardens and Seletar. |
